Myths and realities of birthday Bash.

Party ! Party ! party ! these words often resonate in the air as you stand stranded midst your cronies and comrades on the auspicious day on which you were born.Such celebrations have almost become ubiquitous everywhere in India despite its exotic nature. To, me blind aping of alien mores and manners seem a sheer act of absurdity .why such high decibel drama of being in frenzy of madness and gyrating before an eatable (cake) that fails to be a customary mouth watering Indian eating stuff ? Did our predecessors celebrate this day in the same vein ? Perhaps no,for them this day meant to be harbinger of enunciating epochal changes. For them this day meant to strengthen your resolves and to show your servility to Almighty. For them this day meant to seek baskets of blessings of elderly people who unfailingly goaded and guided you till you smooched your success. With them this day meant to be on being splurging spree for poors and offering largess to impoverished section of society.More or less this day in olden days was almost confined to dating with deities and offering them prasad and then distributing it among your nears and dears. It was more or less quite holistic and salubrious in nature. Now we witness that Tennysonian old order has definitely changed but has changed for worse and has yielded to new modes of extra mod celebrations but alas!it has jettisoned the very ring of halo which used to hedge around the head of a birthday boy/girl. It has now been replaced by all mere show off and indulgence in drinking binge where all etiquette are broken into smithereens. Where is any relevance of being so euphoric and euphonious with excitements; and that too for seeking mawkish popularity which is transitory in nature ? why to go for exorbitantly costly gifts wrapped in glistening cover when a simple hug of your bosom friend will suffice to elongate and strengthen the bond friendship? Why to sing in unison cadenced and lilting lollipop of hackneyed and cloyed Happy birthday when simply acknowledging virtues of your friend is required? Can,t we bid adieu to this westernized mode of birthday celebration with its rigmarole of frills and frivolities ?An Indianized mode of birthday celebration can usher our life towards moral righteousness and will ensure steady moral growth. So,let us hold fast to our ever dwindling old customary celebrations to make our life worthy of being breathed in and out . Be Indians in every bits and pieces and endear yourself to be enamored by unfading glory of customary birthday celebrations ;which is more wholesome than a modern Birthday Bash...!

Examination Phobia

Onset of winter heralds umpteen of euphoric moments in your life which serves as a stress buster and thereby revamps your life with renewed vigour. This is the season which is packed with holidays ,when you plan to trot those territories which are dotted with doting landscapes .This is the season when fruits get more mellower and merry bells of Christmas more mellifluous. However, behind all these legions of nature,s bounty there is a antagonistic force of examination phobia that foils and frustrates the grandiose design of every students by which they intend to celebrate their holidays. These spell of examinations often rubs out sleep from student,s eyes in a season that is well suited for being soporific and somnambulistic one.Is it easy, not to be enticed by comfortable coil of quilt that lulls you with whopping wrap of warmth? Is it not atrocious that the season which is meant for the best metabolism and appetite in you; necessitates that you need to have a frugal diet in order to ward off drowsiness during the day and night just to facilitate few more studying hours ?Is it that this examination ordeal is traumatic enough to expose to the students harsher realities of life ? Is it really true that examinations are mere extension of ennui which plunders and spills out very sap of student,s life. Perhaps answers to all these probing questions can be nestled in a big no as examinations enable you to flaunt your academic finesse and to stamp out your mark of superiority on your adversaries.Had there not been tradition of examination, healthy competitiveness would have deserted the place of learning and would have been supplanted by mediocrity. It is after driven by phobic syndrome of examination, that you put your best and crave for the best.It is perhaps the oldest and the best way to weigh your ounce of worthiness which often remains camouflaged. It churns out to be the real elixir of life that makes your life studded with sterling attributes . Therefore,it is better to befriend yourself with austerities of examinations in order to achieve pinnacle of popularity in your life. What you attain after examination is a treasure trove of success and glory duly conferred on you .

Bidding farewell to Sachin

Swan song of Sachin…….!
Being a cricketing buff I had a wont of even sacrificing my classes in name of cricket as those were not the days when legions of matches would be played .We used to wait a lot in order to have a date with our cricketing deities; unlike nowadays they won’t play cricket throughout the year. Thank God that even sweeping changes in format of cricket and passage of time has not been able to diminish my infatuation for this game .It is the same fad and frenzy that tantalized me to relish in every bit the great aura which was exuded for the last time by domineering demeanor of Sachin in copious manifestations .With his bundle of energies he swayed the minds of every Indians and made them hysterical where they burst in sonorous sonata of Sachin .People with moistened eyes paid their richest tribute to this cricketing genius. Sachin being overwhelmed by surge of emotion and euphoria too could not contain his tears and allowed it to roll down on his cheeks amidst the presence of his kith and kin and; of course the whole nation .He unfailingly catalogued and acknowledged the contributions made by the people who stood behind him like a rock in his lean patches .What an emotionally surcharged moment was that when the sky reverberated with high decibel of never ending deafening sound Sachin…Sachin….Sachin….! It won’t be hyperbolic to state that he remained the mascot of Indian cricket for more than two decades; that too in an impeccable fashion by avoiding his indulgences in any controversies .Playing at a stretch for past 24 years and that too with sublime touches speaks volumes of praise for him .His phenomenal records in200 Tests, where he has amassed nearly 16,000 runs and 51 tons are all but a pointer towards the fact that he was a legend and will continue to show his leverage for coming generation of cricketers. He remained the very savior and fulcrum around which Indian batting swiveled for many years. His cricketing credentials will always be kept in high reckoning and perhaps for many years he would be hailed as Numero Uno of Indian cricket .His mountainous records looks almost insurmountable and unshakeable by any of his contemporaries.
However, if we allow our mind to be cleaned by stiff broom of rationality we will find that Indian Cricket never had the dearth of such legends and they did fairly well despite the fact that often dices were heavily loaded against them .Gavaskar had the credit to tear apart the best of furious west Indian blowers who were noted for their fiery pace batteries; that too without hedging his head with Helmet. His was the class and perfection that used to regale the spectators .Who can be oblivious of Kapil pa jee who used to spearhead our bowling and added much needed aggro and aggression to our team. IT was his well orchestrated captaincy which culminated in clinching coveted world cup title in 1983.This streak of belligerence was further cemented by Ganguly during his captaincy, who with sachin added many jewels in crown of Indian Cricket .To me Dravid and kumble together by their exploits on umpteen occasions scripted victory of Indian team .Undoubtedly being bosom friends they reigned as brand ambassadors of Indian cricket during their halcyon days .Theirs was the selfless service that I love to adore, as for them national interest mattered more than aggrandizement of their own records .Being besotted by their humility I hold them in high esteem .
It’s not that sachin had been almost impregnable and inviolable one as a batsman, he had chink in his armor and he was never at ease when he confronted with the best of bowling. What was really unique in him was his endurance and quality of perseverance through which he wormed his way with whopping success. His ever increasing appetite for runs made him a run machine and his plethora of batting prowess always remained a treat to watch. His astuteness and sheer athleticism on the ground always dampened the morale of his adversaries. If like Dravid he could have bid farewell to cricket two or three years back perhaps he would not have faced the avalanche of criticism from all and sundry. It,s not that I love him less but what matters more for me is to adhere to that proposition where a particular person should not be allowed to become more significant than an institution(Indian cricket Team) .It would have been more befitting if our other cricketing legends too would have been eulogized in same vein by media and fans. They too deserved waxing of eloquence but, alas! It was not poured on them. I will love to cherish those moments when sachin would be conferred with India’s highest civilian award Bharat Ratna but, I will pitch my voice firstly for those Heroes whose feats have been largely left unsung .If at all there is any claimant for this award in sphere of sports then first of all it should be conferred on Major Dhyanchand, the wizard of Hockey who single handedly scripted India’s rollicking success in four consecutive Olympics. Can we become forgetful of this fact that it was his unstoppable juggernaut that routed mighty Germans by 0-3 in 1936,s Olympic final in presence of Hitler. Hitler was so immensely impressed by the very finesse of his stick that he offered him to play for Germany, which was declined by Dhyanchand.
It’s good that Sachin has not left Indian cricket in dire straits, he has left it when it is brimming and bustling with influx on new talents .Current crop of cricketing genius have rightly stepped into shoes of Sachin by donning his great mantle. Plaudits in galore to sachin for piloting India on a path of success!

A date with Dr Subash Kashyap

Consider myself highly privileged to be illuminated by scholarly legal discourse of Dr Subash Kashyap, a man who bestrides as a colossal over other parliamentarians by virtue of his encyclopedic range of legal knowledge. What a feast of reason and flow of witty common sense was always at the disposal of this rich and abundant genius despite being an octogenarian !Above all he evinced in every thought and reflection the full orbed quality of a powerful and manly character embodied and cherished by every erudite Indians. His speech had no stylistic acrobatisms and rigmarole of vocabulary and it was as bare as the top of mountains. At times it seemed that it had passed through a linguistic sieve where all other redundancies had been jettisoned. His thoughts were of rather solicitous advisers which preferred to stood behind the glass pane of a window in order to have a look at the passing picture of life. One should learn from him that how adroitly he refrained from passing judgments and gently nudged the listeners to make up their own minds.Undoubtedly his crisp and compact lecture with its bits and pieces have added to an overarching whole. All plaudits to this legal leviathan for valiantly espousing cause of uniform civil code despite all odds and adversities through which our country is passing.....!
