Octegenarian Advani,s Rath on a roll

Advani,s much hyped ‘ Rath yatra’ from holistic land of Bihar is a frantic effort by the party to consolidate its dwindling popularity base in electorate areas. It seems a befitting time for the party to proliferate its base at a time when graph of its popularity is menacingly undermined by plethora of feud and factionalism. Stalwarts of the party are awfully busy in settling their own scores by inflicting irreparable harm to the party. They are bent upon locking their horns to promote their own elevation and aggrandizement. The party fails to arrive at consensus that who will steer the party in coming husting.The party too wants to capitalize on anti corruption plank of Anna and his acolytes. Undoubtedly the party has made a paradigmatic laudable shift in in its policies and crusading for a noble cause ; that is burial of corruption in all its manifestations. Think tank of party avers that this gesture will further accentuate anti  incumbency factor and will win away the people from dynastic rule of congress party. By bestriding as colossus on his chariot Advani is desperate to nail coffin of congress empire which has become epicenter of corruptions. The party is facing wrath of commoners because exposures of record embezzlement Moreover it is also an audacious effort by Advani to bolster his image and assert his resurgence and inevitability in the party. He is also keen to isolate his chorus of detractors like Narendra Modi and his associates by keeping them aloof from his campaign. It is also looked by experts as Advani,s master card to humble ambitions of his detractors inside the party wing. This Yatra assumes greater significance in wake of the fact that it has been flagged off from native village of J.P who enjoyed iconoclastic image because of his valiant battle against arbitrariness of late Indira Gandhi.Will Advani will be charismatic enough to stir the commoners as J.P did? Will he prove himself a savior for the party and will help in dethroning congress party. Perhaps the party is optimistic enough that it once more becomes the collective conscience of Indians as it did in nineties and its aftermath when Ayodhya issue rocked the nation. In recent years the party is looking quite atrophied and lusterless as it has been bereft of any substantial agenda and universally accepted leader. With this new found genie of corruption elimination the party wants to revamp its public image.

                                        Historical archives of Bihar has always spawned the myth that this land has always initiated epochal changes in fabric of society and passage of Advani too is a mere cog of this giant wheel of sweeping reforms in Indian politics. May this Advanian odyssey results in taming tide of corruption and ensuring a society free from festering sores of corruption!

Tottering Tattered Higher Education In India

Gone are the days when India too was in serious reckoning of comity of nations for producing crop of talented Technocrats and Scientists. Now it seems to be in shambles and in a state of sheer neglect .Why our edifice of academic scaffold seems to have shattered? Why our much touted hallowed portal of learning fail to produce quality brains? Perhaps answers to all such pressing issues can be traced in our fragile and hackneyed paradigm of learning that fails to promote plethora of creativity and innovativeness. Be it evaluation or class studies everywhere it is stereotyped pattern of learning that weighs high over envisaging mind .Learners mind is indoctrinated often with such concepts that remain obsolete one and fail to encompass any new perspectives .whoever questions the validity of such learning is branded as eccentric and unfit for higher studies .Everybody is hankering after that substandard means of learning through which only optimum marks can be scored. This heaping of marks dynamics is actually wreaking havoc on our educational system and has made it sterile one .Being a parrot is more preferred than to  be a master of probing mind. Perfunctory and peripheral  knowledge is  preferred at the very cost of  profundity and depth.Learners are  encumbered with referential  lore by disregarding core questions .Inflexibility  of teachers strangulates  enthusiasm  of learners mind  to flex their  mental nerves. MCQ  has reached its saturation level  and accounts for evaluation of only stored knowledge that is bereft  of conceptualization process .Preponderance of marks over mind  fosters  rote method of learning  that is at war with subtle mind. Visualizing mind is tethered to confinement of syllabus. Mental acrobatics ’and   astute critical sense is portrayed as symptom of idiosyncrasy rather than a sign of genius. Scoring high is the mere obsession that keeps on propelling youths to cram their mind with heavy dosages of knowledge. Hardly it is taken into account that scoring high has never been the hallmark of genius. Has not it been proved on copious occasions that even learners with low profile carved niche in society by their innovativeness? History is replete with numerous instances in which mediocre students even eclipsed their so called talented seniors .It  is high time that academicians initiate the process of purging educational system of its impurities in order to foster research activities and real talent.
